The card connects over Web Serial, which only exists in a few browsers.

Plug the card in over USB-C first, then hit connect and pick it from the list. Leave it plugged in — unplug it and the message goes away.

what the card does now

      

        It's a timer. The eight flames are the eight eighths of whatever
        duration you set. No computer needed, ever again.
      

      

        ENTER is the commit button, in every mode. The eight along the
        bottom are always the number.

        One flame goes out every eighth of the time. The last one pulses when
        you're nearly out. When it finishes it beeps and flashes, and any

        Re-reading means solving it again — the card won't hand the message
